Inauguration of the largest photovoltaic plant connected to the grid in Mexico

Durango Governor Jorge Herrera Caldera, inaugurated last Thursday May 29th the 16 MW photovoltaic plant built by TSK , with the presence of the Secretary of Energy and the President of the CFE, among other authorities.

This plant is the first of a solar complex that will reach 100 MW. The Energy reform promoted by President Enrique Peña Nieto had one of his first positive results with the inauguration of the Solar Farm ” TAI Durango ” , the only one interconnected to the national grid of the Federal Commission of the Electricity. This farm could soon become the largest in America, agreed Carlos Ludlow, Chairman of Eosol, Enrique Ochoa Reza, General  Manager at CFE and Governor Jorge Herrera Caldera.

The solar plant was built in an area of 32 hectares in the area of the Industrial Logistics Center of Durango, with 70,000 panels to generate 16.8 megawatts.
