Audit and Project Control

Elena Ramos Gutiérrez is an example of how dedication and initiative can take you from starting as a receptionist in 2007, later to Communication Management and then the Commercial Department, and from there to accompanying Ana Bernardo in Audit and Project Control.

Is yours an isolated case of promotion within the TSK organizational chart?

Not at all. One of the great advantages of working at TSK is the fact that recognition and opportunities come if one works hard and demonstrates his or her worth and commitment to the company. It is always nice to be in a work environment where you are not pigeonholed and have the opportunity to progress. And even more so, by keeping a balance between family life and work life

How has your work-life balance experience been?

Sincerely, very good. I have to say that, being a mother or not, there is the possibility of entering or leaving in a margin of hours that allows you to come by bus without fearing a traffic jam or getting up early to leave early and take advantage of the afternoon.

And in your case, as a mother?

In my case I have a 30-hour work week that allows me to leave my daughters at school and be able to develop my work in the company with total normality. There are many mothers who enjoy this timetable and we have never heard any complaints.

How would you define your relationship with the management team?

It may sound like a cliché, but they are just like the rest. The company has grown a lot since I joined, but everyone knows the names of their colleagues and everyone is accessible, from the newcomer to any member of the Management Committee. If someone were to see us on a normal day at the office, nobody would say that a thousand people work here and that the turnover is over a billion Euros; it looks like a small family-run business. There is still a lot of work, but the atmosphere is good and people work happily. In a way, it creates an atmosphere of belonging, of being more than just employees.

Does the location help?

Of course; the location is in a completely green environment, on the outskirts of the city, right in the middle of the Technology Park and with the Universidad Laboral next door… It’s an excellent location. In addition, during the lunch break we can go to train at the gym on the ground floor or go for a walk or run and breathe clean air. This is one more aspect that makes me think that there couldn´t be a better place to work.
