TSK’s Internal Training School

The EFI, TSK’s Internal Training School, has been a pioneering project that in less than three years has become a benchmark throughout the country and has produced almost a hundred TSK workers.

In order to educate, develop and improve the skills of its engineers, through interaction with their working environment, TSK launched its Internal Training School (EFI) in 2014, with the firm conviction that knowledge and training form part of its strategic keys.

The objectives of the school are:

To develop training programmes in accordance with the real needs of TSK.

To train new engineers and existing staff through specific programmes.

Employee loyalty.

To promote the image of the company by strengthening internal and external communication.

For 16 weeks, students were trained in various subjects ranging from corporate strategy and culture to project management, information technology, sales management and finance.

The teaching method the case method, which consists of exposing real situations and developing the teaching methodology about them.

The teachers of this real master’s degree in TSK were the company’s own managers, who presented real cases, experienced in first person, for analysis and debate. In this way, after the sixteen weeks, in the morning and afternoon sessions, the new graduates acquired important knowledge to develop their new activity.

The selection process, in addition to personal and language interviews, includes psycho-technical exams. Only 30 young people are selected for the intensive EFI programme that can open the doors to TSK for them. In addition, through an agreement with the University of Oviedo Foundation, participants receive remuneration for the duration of the course.

Five work teams are organised, with six people in each team, a leader is appointed by the management of the EFI, and in successive weeks the leader rotates, when all the members of the team have worked as leader, it is the team itself that chooses the leader up until the end.

Each team has to develop a final project and defend it publicly before a tribunal. Each team member will be obliged to have a role in the different tasks involved in the work, and will be responsible for explaining to the tribunal the role developed within the project.
